Our Community Projects
OHSU nursing students partner with Klamath County Public Health and Healthy Klamath to conduct community focus groups to learn about public perception on how their community affects their health.
The Klamath Tree League partnered with Healthy Klamath on an exciting project that combines nature and physical activity. In April 2015, community members came out and planted trees on the OC&E, Crater Lake Parkway, and Foothills Blvd paths. As people continue to hike these paths, they can water the trees with water bottles and feel ownership over “their” tree.
Protected bike lanes (PBL) are bike lanes with physical barriers--planters, posts, curbs, or parked cars--that separate the cyclist from the traffic. They are good for safety and good for business!
