Klamath County is part of the United States Congressional District 2, served by Congressman Cliff Bentz. The county is also served by US Senators Ron Wyden and Jeff Merkley.
At the Oregon state level, Klamath County is served by District 55 Representative E. Werner Reschke, District 56 Representative Emily McIntire, and District 28 Senator Dennis Linthicum.
Klamath Falls is the county seat where a three-member Board of County Commissioners serves local citizens. The current board includes Commissioner Dave Henslee, Vice Chair Kelley Minty, and Chair Derrick DeGroot.
Klamath Falls is also an incorporated city, served by a Mayor and City Council. Other local incorporated cities and town include Bonanza, Chiloquin, Malin and Merrill.
